Estimated number of diagnoses of AIDS, women living with AIDS, and
deaths among women with AIDS,* 1998-2003 (line graph): 2003:
living with AIDS, 88,815; diagnosed with AIDS, 11,498; dying with
AIDS, 4,736. The number of women living with AIDS has increased from
fewer than 60,000 in 1998, while the number diagnosed with AIDS and
dying with AIDS has remained fairly steady during the same period.
