Health Services Utilization
Availability of and access to quality health
care services directly affects all aspects of women’s
health. For women who have poor health
status, disabilities, limited financial resources,
lack of insurance, and limited access to a range
of health services, preventive treatment and rehabilitation
can be critical in preventing disease
and improving the quality of women’s lives.
This section presents data on women’s use of health services, including data on women’s insurance coverage, usual source of care, satisfaction with care, and use of various services, such as preventive care, HIV testing, hospitalization, and mental health services.
