Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics

Enhances the behavioral, psychosocial, and developmental aspects of general pediatric care. The programs support fellows in behavioral pediatrics to help prepare them for leadership roles as teachers, researchers, and clinicians.

In August of 2014 the Autism Collaboration, Accountability, Research, Education and Support (CARES) Act was signed into law. The bipartisan effort reauthorizes earlier autism-related legislation and continues research initiatives and service provisions for those with an autism spectrum disorder. The law also furthers autism training and monitoring efforts by federal health agencies. HRSA’s implementation of the Autism CARES Act of 2014 included funding to several LEND projects. To view a list of these funded projects, please visit HRSA’s Autism web site.
