Obtaining reliable data on the size of the children with special health care needs (CSHCN) population and their service needs has long been an elusive goal. In 2001, the Federal government undertook a national population-based survey to collect this critical information.
During this first DataSpeak of 2003, Federal officials and other researchers will present key findings of this landmark survey, describe a new chartbook summarizing the study's findings, and discuss survey data relating to measurement of progress toward Healthy People 2010 goals for CSHCN.
