  • For Hispanics fell from approximately 30 to 26.9; there was an increase from 1976 to 1996, with the rate peaking at approximately 38.
  • For total remained at 17.4
  • For Non-Hispanic Whites remained steady at 10.0

*The U.S. Census Bureau poverty threshold for a family of four was $20,614 in 2006.
