Receipt of EPSDT Preventive Dental Service Among Eligible Children,^* Aged Birth–20 Years, 1990-2006^**

The percent of eligible children receiving EPSDT preventive dental care fluctuates greatly with each year. In 1990, approximately 22.5 percent of eligible children received preventive dental services, while fewer than 10 percent received services in 1998. Since 1998, the percentage of eligible children has generally increased, except for a sharp drop in 2004 to below 22 percent. In 2006, 27.7 percent of eligible children received EPSDT preventive dental services.
