Percentage of High School Students Who Were Threatened or Injured With a Weapon on School Property, by Race: 1992-2001

9.3% of Hispanic, 8.9% of Black, and 8.5% of white high school students were threatened or injured with a weapon on school property in 2001. Among whites, this rate has risen steeply since 1997, and for blacks, this represents an increase since 1999.
