The white, Non-Hispanic dropout rate for ages 16-24 made a considerable decline between 1988- 1983, where it then stayed consistent at 6.9% through 2000. The Black, Non-Hispanic dropout rate for ages 16-24 stayed between 12-15% from 1988-2000, when it was 13.1%. The Hispanic drop out rate for ages 16-24 fluctuated greatly between 1988-2000, when it was 27.8%.
